We use CoffeeCup because it gives us the business, time and organizational view of our team in one tool.
Challenge
We are an interdisciplinary team of developers, designers and product managers for digital product development within E.ON and its regional companies such as eprimo, rhenag, Süwag and many others. Together with our customers, we develop digital applications and services – fast, agile and user-centric. An internal agency like BDS looks easy to manage – but appearances are deceptive. The challenge comes from our extremely fast-paced work in a rapidly changing market. An enormous range of different project types and project sizes – from the classic design sprint to support in longer design thinking processes or eCommerce optimizations to the complex development of apps or entire platforms, it’s all here. To cope with these tasks we have built up a highly qualified and above all extremely creative team – in the nature of things, time tracking is not the favorite task of creatives. In order to be able to react quickly to requests and also make reliable statements, we depend on a tool that always gives us a quick look at freely available resources. We need a roadmap view to plan operationally, but also cost and performance figures to be able to develop strategically.
Solution
A problem with many agencies and small businesses is the need to create project invoices as quickly and easily as possible. CoffeeCup allows us to have a clean process here. The level of detail is optimized through time tracking so that we can provide full transparency to our customers. By entering project budget and time budget, the current status can be accessed via the dashboard.
Greatest added value
CoffeeCup is a relief because, above all, it brings speed. Anyone who depends on continuous incoming payments will be thrilled with how little effort it takes to create invoices. For our team, it is an advantage that each employee is only confronted with the information and tasks that are relevant to him. For example, one person only uses time tracking, while another enjoys the analytics and dashboards.
Favorite Feature
My absolute favorite feature is the dashboard. It shows very quickly at a glance how our projects are doing and which milestones are coming up. At the same time, it provides a commercial/business view of the projects and the company. CoffeeCup gives us an insight into the distribution of work in the team and thus conclusions as to whether time budgets are set optimally.
